History
In 128 YG, Skÿhäna, a young Ëchëna of the Layor came to inherit his position after his father's stead was allegedly overrun by Zyskäsü. He and a party of loyal warriors were away hunting, and upon their return found the entire village destroyed. Houses smashed to bits and burnt. No living persons or animals remained. Evidence of a battle was everywhere, but the few corpses they did find were only of villagers, and brutally dismembered.
Over the course of the following year he and his band of warriors scoured the local landscape with picks and spears. They dug up every rock and boulder larger than a treahni's head, and exposed them to the summer sun, smashed them with hammers, and broke them down. From the broken stone they built a new lodge house, larger than that of his departed father.
It is still decorated today with the black stone bones of several Zyskäsü they had excavated and slain. Femurs as long as a Treahni's entire leg, ribs longer than ones arm, and skulls so large and heavy they require eight men to lift.
The fields surrounding this new lodge house grew fertile from the spilt blood of the trolls, and they sowed them with hearty grain. The new prosperity from the fields attracted others to join, and the single long house was joined by other homes. Over the centuries that followed it continued to grow and prosper. Today it is the town of Äsüfö, a major port on the coast of Layor, still ruled by the descendants of Skÿhäna Pëläsüfö.
