Description
- Classification

- 5-6 centimetres (4 inches) body, 25-30 centimetres (12 inches) total length.
- Appearance
- A long body, with a feathery covering over a hard carapace. They possess six pairs of very long legs, and a pair of shorter pincered grasping appendages, used to capture and hold prey.
- Sexual Dimorphism
- The males of the species are considerably smaller, being about a quarter the size, but no less ferocious.
- Variance
- Few subspecies exist, mostly differentiated by colouration, or adaptations to a particular environment.
Ecology
- Habitat
- Tropical to temperate latitudes, in nearly any biome where prey can be found.
- Diet
- Carnivorous, generally eating insects, small lizards, birds, or mammals. Qula are known to prey on anything up to twice their size, and occasionally to attempt larger prey.

- Usually solitary.

- Agressive.

- Slight animal.
- Reproduction
- Females will lay a clutch of eggs and carry them tucked underneath, held by two pair of legs while moving about. After a month the eggs hatch, and the mother will release her children on recently caught prey, before moving off alone.
