I'tek is a man who is quick to temper, and not afraid of speaking his mind. Such outbursts have cost him at times; his arm was lost due to infection from an injury sustained in a duel. I'tek was a sailor, like many in his family, and joined the High Councill in 392 YG, at the age of 38 sols.

The Solus Clan

The Solus family amassed their wealth from the import and export of textiles. Despite nearly losing their position on the council in 237 YG, due to a blight which affected the Waejiran silk harvest, one of the more staple and valuable textiles imported into Aralia. During this looming financial ruin, the Solus family arranged several timely marriages, to secure a wider resource base to their collective wealth. Since then, with a more diverse income streams they have remained remarkably stable, even weathering a similar repeat blight a few decades later. In recent years the Solus family has closely aligned with the Pashas due to mutual interests in shipping.
