The site of Greyfort was used as a stopping point for travellers and caravans for many centuries. [[Drolac (people)|Drolac]] from nearby villages would occasionally visit the site to trade with [[Waejiran (people)|Waejiran]] and [[Corinthean (people)|Corinthean]] merchants passing through he mountains. Eventually a few settled at the site in more permanent homes and a village was born. To date thirty five families call grey fort their home. The populous is mostly Drolac farmers and hunters, with a few crafters, and even a couple of foreign tradespersons who have established shops in the village.
