Description
This plant produces flame red multi-petal flowers which mature into a single berry covered with a loose orange skin. The inner berry is firm dark purple and round, measuring perhaps 2-3 centimeters in diameter. The fruit has coagulant properties when applied to bleeding wounds, and taken internally can stabilize high or low blood pressure.
