History
Cadric is a fisherman from the island of Moda Hiem, whom joined the disorganized resistance to the Khurain and his excessive taxation. As far as he knows the end goal is to make the Khurain abdicate his title to a more lenient candidate. He leads a double life, participating in acts of sabotage upon the Khurain's forces and shipping, as and when he can. Of course the result of such destruction is usually more severe taxation, and more frequent scrutiny of his catches, which is affecting his ability to provide for his family. He supports his wife, six children and his aging father. His two eldest sons are old enough to help in the boat, but it is a lot of mouths to feed.
Like most Iskandeans, he is familiar with the use of the small axe and spear. He regularly carries a long knife, like most fishermen, which doesn't arouse suspicion. He has not been required to kill another treahni yet. While his involvement has certainly put his life at risk, and by extension, that of his family, he is unwilling to sacrifice himself for the cause. If it gets bad enough he would simply sail away with his family to another hiem.
