Description
This low bushy plant is cultivated as a source of starch. The roots of this plant produce numerous yellow fleshed tubers, with a distinct buttery flavour. The flowers of the plant are large four petal trumpets, and are an excellent source of yellow dye, or colour for other foods. The crushed leaves are used as an appetizer and excellent masking odour for less pleasant smells.
