- This variety of three leaf grows about 1 meter in height, and has a tri-radial leaf set of 30-40 centimetres across. The edges of the leaves have nettle-like hairs which scratch and produce itchy welts on exposed skin. The root of the plant contains poisonous compounds that can halt breathing.
